– Martin Law partner Matt Wilson has been named chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Law Section. The section serves as a conduit of information on developments in workers’ compensation law to practitioners throughout the state. The section also acts as a liaison with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Workers’ Compensation to ensure that the interests of claimants, employers and the legal community are protected fairly in the regulatory, legislative and administrative processes.

Wilson has practiced exclusively in workers’ compensation law for a quarter of a century and is personally committed to the same goals as the section he guides: education and advocacy. For a dozen years, he has served as a contributing author of the “bible” of the practice, “Workers’ Compensation Practice & Procedure,” a 900-page textbook distributed at the biannual Pennsylvania Bar Institute conference of the same name. Additionally, he has served since 2009 on the PBA Workers’ Compensation Section subcommittee in formulating the groundbreaking certification standards unveiled in 2012 and actively participating in its ongoing implementation.

He is an active member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations as well as the Workplace Injury Litigation Group. Wilson was inducted into The College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers in 2011.

With fourteen attorneys and offices in Bristol, Allentown, Reading and Philadelphia, Martin Law is one of the largest firms in Pennsylvania of its kind, focusing solely on Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, Long Term Disability and Veterans’ Benefits.
