5/28/14 – Martin Attorneys to Teach at PA workers’ Comp Conference

Martin Law partners Joseph C. Huttemann and Alfred J. Carlson will present educational sessions at the 13th Annual Workers’ Compensation Conference on June 2-3 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. The event is hosted by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.joe_web

The conference features updates on the state’s workers’ compensation program from a number of industries, including legal, medical and vocational. Continuing education credits for attending are awarded by several professional bodies: the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the PA Association of Rehabilitation Professionals and Preferred Systems, Inc.

Both Huttemann and Carlson will participate in “Mental Squared: Mental/Mental Injuries,” an advanced course covering the current status of the law in mental stress causing mental disability cases, and Huttemann will co-present “Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs),” another advanced session reviewing the new Pennsylvania statue on PEOs and the difference between PEOs and temporary staffing agencies.
