8/28/14 – Martin Law Attorneys Presenting at Annual State workers’ Comp Meeting

August 28, 2014

(Philadelphia, PA)
– Martin Law partners Matthew Wilson and George Martin are again playing key roles at the Annual Fall Meeting of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section hosted by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on September 11th and 12th at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center in Hershey, PA.

Wilson, the 2014-2015 section chair, is one of the three planners of this massively-popular two day event, which features several “must see” programs, including:

  • “Recent Developments,” a program that the PBI calls “hands down…the most popular session,” which features a fast-paced debate-style review of the latest decisions in workers compensation, hosted by Martin Law founder George Martin and Peter Weber.
  • The “State of the Union,” offering updates from the state’s political and judicial leaders in Workers’ Compensation, which will most certainly include an update on the closely-watched Senate Bill 1195 and the almost-depleted Uninsured Employee Guarantee Fund, a fund that was set up to provide benefits to workers whose employers do not carry insurance, but which is now running out of money again, despite a $4,000,000 infusion two years ago from the Department of Labor and Industry’s General Operating Fund.

Attendees earn 7 Total CLE credits (1 of which may be applied toward ethics) and several social engagements are planned during the conference, offering plenty of networking opportunities.
