Nicholas Feden

NICHOLAS FEDEN is the Chair of the Disability Department at Martin Law. With nearly 15 years of experience in the field of disability benefits, Mr. Feden specializes in complex appellate issues at both administrative and federal court levels. A graduate of Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law, he has held several prominent positions throughout his legal career before joining Martin Law, LLC.

Mr. Feden’s prior experience includes serving as a Partner at the Law Office of Michael P. Boyle, founding and chairing the Administrative and Federal Disability Appellate Practice at a local disability firm, and working as a Supervising Attorney at Community Legal Services of Philadelphia, a nationally recognized model of legal services programs.

As a former chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Social Security Disability Committee, Mr. Feden has consistently sought to lead the Disability Bar forward. His proactive approach was evident in 2018 when the Supreme Court of the United States decided Lucia v. SEC. Mr. Feden quickly identified the decision’s potential impact on Social Security Disability litigation, published an insightful article titled “The Potential Impact of ‘Lucia’ on the Social Security Administration,” and took immediate action, providing hundreds of denied claimants with a second chance at an administrative hearing.

In addition to managing an active case load, Mr. Feden is often called upon to lecture at legal seminars and conferences, where he shares his expertise in disability benefits and appellate practice. He has delivered informative CLE lectures on a range of topics, including Appeals Council Practice, Long Term Covid & SSD/SSI, and Handling Mental Health Cases in SSI. Through these lectures, Mr. Feden continues to contribute his knowledge to both practitioners and the general public.

Mr. Feden resides in Montgomery County, PA, with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, reading, traveling, volunteering, and spending quality time with his family.
