David F. Stern has concentrated his practice in the area of workers' compensation since graduation from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2000.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Stern defended workers' compensation insurance carriers and employers.  He has been published on several occasions in the area of workers' compensation law in Pennsylvania's largest legal newspaper, The Legal Intelligencer.  Additionally, he has spoken at seminars in this area of law.

Mr. Stern earned his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Delaware.  He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations and very active in the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Associations.  In 2006, Mr. Stern was appointed to the prestigious Amicus Curiae Committee of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association in recognition of his abilities to advocate through legal writing.  He was selected to the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association's President's Future Leaders Select Committee, a group comprised of young trial lawyers who will one day make up the leadership of this preeminent organization.

In addition, Mr. Stern is very activein pro bono work through the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program.  This program provides free legal representation for poor families and individuals in the Philadelphia community who cannot afford legal representation.  In 2007, Mr. Stern was recognized by the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, being inducted into their Pro Bono Roll of Honor for his excellence in pro bono services.
