Alfred J. Carlson has been a litigator in Pennsylvania workers' compensation law since passing the bar in 1992. For the first seven years of his practice, Mr. Carlson worked at a leading defense firm in Philadelphia, representing international corporations, major insurance companies and state and local government agencies in Pennsylvania workers' compensation cases. Mr. Carlson was recruited by the partners of the firm to represent injured workers in Pennsylvania and protect their rights.

In 2000, Mr. Carlson joined the firm as an associate, and he became a partner in July 2001. In addition to maintaining an active caseload, he lectures extensively in the area of Pennsylvania workers' compensation law. He has also published numerous articles on the subject.

Mr. Carlson serves as Co-Chair of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.  In 2005, 2006 & 2007, he was selected as a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" by Law and Politics and Philadelphia Magazines.  Mr. Carlson served as the legislative liaison for the Philadelphia Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Section.
